Studio Policies

  • Registration

Registration for Fall 2020 is now available on- line via the studio director parent portal that can be found on our website at  All students must register on line and enter a credit card to have on file. When you register please pay September tuition and the $5.00 registration fee.  Multi class discounts and add on classes will be applied to your account after you register.  Your balance due will be withdrawn the 5th of the month from the credit card we have on file.  If you would prefer to pay by cash or check please pay no later than the 5th of the month.  


  • Studio Pandemic Policies 

The safety of all members of our CCPA family is the number one priority for all of us.  CCPA is taking reasonable precautions to try and prevent the spread of COVID19 to any of our clients and staff.

  • We will encourage hand-washing and have sanitizer readily available

  • We will wipe down frequently used surfaces and maintain floor cleanliness 

  • Face coverings will be required in the lobby area when social distancing is not possible.  Each student will receive a neck gaiter that can be used as a face covering 

  • Temperature checks will be done as students enter the building

  • We ask that students come dressed and ready for class with hair pulled back out of their face

  • Students will enter the classroom at the beginning of class with water bottles, shoe changes and anything else they may need 

  • Zoom will be available if a student can not come to class due to sickness, weather, or possible quarantine.


  • Why CCPA?

All students of any ability are welcome at CCPA.  CCPA staff strives to foster self-confidence, discipline and a love of the arts by creating a positive, nurturing and structured environment where students can grow and develop into talented and creative young adults.


The Cody Center for the Performing Arts has been a part of the Big Horn Basin for 37 years. In that time CCPA has taken many students to represent the state of Wyoming at Dance Excellence, an international festival of dance held in Los Angeles, California. Students have also performed in New York City at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, attended many conventions in the area, and have successfully competed and performed at several national and regional events and competitions. Many former CCPA students have gone on to careers in dance as studio directors, dance teachers, and performers.  

  • Classes Offered

CCPA offers classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Hip-Hop, Creative Movement, Acting, Acro-Dance, Adult Dance Conditioning and Adult Tap.  Classes are offered for students ages 2 to adult.

  • Class Attire 

Join us Tuesday, August 25th at Footworks from 1-6 pm to purchase and order your dance wear and shoes! Get your back to school shoes at the same time! 



       Tiny Tots & Creative Movement:  Pink ballet shoes, leotard and tights or comfortable active wear

       Intro to Dance I & II: Pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, leotard and tights (skirts optional)

       Ballet & Pointe:  Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. (Black ballet skirts or shorts are optional.)

      Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop & Modern:  Tight fitting top or leotard, tights and/or dance pants/leggings.

      Jazz:  Tan jazz shoes   (Black may be used for classes.  Tan is a must for performance)

      Hip Hop:  Black tennis shoes or Hip hop dance sneakers

      Tap:  Black tap shoes

      Acro:  Leotard and shorts or biketard. No shoes required.

      Modern/Contemporary: dance socks, modern toe shoes, or no shoes, leotard/tights/leggings/dance shorts 

      Boys:  Shorts or sweatpants, t-shirts, black shoes.  Ballet should be black 



  • Bus Information

Bussing to CCPA is available.  Please contact the Bus Barn at 587-2851 to make arrangements, this year bussing may be limited.

  • Parking

Please be considerate of our neighbors and only park in front of the building or on the street. The vacant lot next to the building is not a parking lot. Please obey all no-parking signs.  

  • Observing Class

Due to Covid-19 we are asking that observations of class be minimal and prefer mask and adherence to social distance guidelines as much as possible. 


  • Make-Up Classes

If your student will be missing classes, please ask about coming to a make-up class so that they do not fall behind. We will be doing a zoom class for students not feeling well enough to come to class but can participate at home. Please notify within 8 hours if possible. Tuition will not be adjusted for missed classes unless due to a prolonged illness or injury.


  • Tuition- Fall Season 

Tuition will be split into four equal payments for the fall season. Students will average 2-4 classes per month.

NEW THIS YEAR! Tuition will be withdrawn from your account on the 5th of the month.  If you would prefer to pay by cash or check please pay before the 5th.  A credit or debit card number must remain on file in your parent portal.


CCPA accepts cash, check, money order and all major credit cards.


Please make checks payable to CCPA and write the student’s full name and what you are paying for on the memo line (tuition, costume, etc.) 

Past due accounts will be charged a 5% late fee after the 15th of the month.

A one-time $5.00 registration fee will be charged to each student annually upon registration. Your registration includes a CCPA neck gaiter that can be used as a face covering, head band, neck scarf and so much more!

Performance and Costume Fee


This year we will not be charging a performance fee to any returning students  for our Holiday performances .   Our Holiday performances will take place in the Studio Theatre where we can have a small audience and practice safe social distancing. 

Spring recital will be determined pending state and local health guidelines.

  • Drop Policy

Should you decide to drop a class or change a class, a drop/change slip must be filled out and handed into the front desk prior to the 1st of the month.  Tuition is billed the 1st of each month and will not be refunded.
